Insulated Glass
Unit
Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) is a double glazing consisting of two or more panes of glass,
isolated by a desiccant filled spacer and sealed with a sealant. The main
function of the insulated Glass Units is to improve comfort and minimizing heating and cooling costs by reducing the external/internal flow of heat. The
insulation value (U-value) depends on the configuration criteria such as glass type, glass thickness, and spacer width.
Applications: Curtain walls, windows and doors.
